First off, European nations ARE facing obesity issues that outpace the US - take, Italy, for example, that leads even the US in areas of child obesity. I never made the claim that Europe, overall, has a worse obesity issue, but it is catching up, quickly. Oh, I am fully aware of the Japanese health system, of which I have used as an example of a social health care system that is more efficient then the US system. But that isn't telling the whole story. Japan is MUCH more homogenized then the US, which contends with many different races and socio-economic issues, including a recent Hispanic population that skews health care statistics. Health care is a very complex issue and reducing it down to "You suck" does not do any justice to the debate.

If I had used hollow point rounds, I would have been able to spare the yote needless suffering, in my mind it's FMJ's that are "inhumane" or "evil" to use non-shooter terms, a hollowpoint is safer and more humane, the FMJ rounds I shot from the Mosin exited the animal with enough velocity to still be dangerous *if* there was anything behind it but a hillside

Round 2 was a center-mass hit, but tore through the Yote, doing minimal damage due in part to the high velocity of the round, and the fact that it only hit soft tissue and did not deform, it did knock the animal down, and shot three ended it's life, needless to say, I was not happy, the yote suffered needlessly, had I been using a hollow point bullet that was designed to expand and mushroom, dumping all it's energy into the target, i would have probably needed only one round (continued)

My personal experience with FMJ rounds; last weekend, I had to shoot a coyote on our property, it was acting agressive towards our horses, the only firearm I had to do the job was a 7.62x54R Mosin-Nagant (essentially a 30 caliber, like a 30-06 or 30-30) with FMJ bullets, it took three rounds to kill the 'yote, the reason being, round one hit low and to the rear, tearing through the rear haunch, doing minimal damage (continued)

Correct: they're trying to stop BAD GUYS from shooting back. But they're NOT trying to stop bad guys' windows or car doors from existing. So what's with the obsession with such things? One solution would be to load a few FMJs at the top of magazines to deal with the hardened barriers, but then to load JHPs to fill the rest of the mags to deal with the main targets: bad guys' bodies. One single type of hard-hitting JHP is probably the best solution overall, though.

CJ87, watch the vid again. It's not about the material you coat the bullet's exterior with (such as Teflon), but rather, the shape/form of the bullet jacket. All a Teflon coating ever did was lubricate hardened bullets for passage through barrels, reducing wear & tear. It usually FLAKES OFF in the air. That = No effect on the TARGET. But that big ol' hole in the front of JHPs is the main point here, because it fills with bad-guy body tissue and then is forced to expand inside his body.

Car door metal is very thin and the only other thing stopping it is the car door's plastic interior. Unless you happen to hit a thick reinforcement, it should go right through. With such thin metal a hollow point wouldn't make a difference, maybe if the metal is thicker it would.

Nah, it's not that bad. And believe me, there have been confirmation surveys done dozens of times now for this specific observation. There was even a second sweep of the area later during the same night, but alas no signal. At the time, there were protocols to determine if the origin was of terrestrial origin, this is just the only signal of hundreds of such detections, in nearly 60 years of listening which hasn't been shot down as being either terrestrial or natural in origin.

ok I am a male but I am fair to both sex, I know this may sound unfair to female, but to me intelligence is depended on the particular individual who has good DNA more than time development, even though I agree with the fact that males have more education in the past due to culture but dont forget that in ancient time, only wealthy people can study, most of the populations (including males) dont have the chance to education, so I dont think time progress has much to do with sex and intelligence.

There are hormonal differences, but even those are questionable. Testosterone is afterall synthesized from estrogen. The brain differences, eg larger splenium and amygdala in women, denser PFC and posterior pareital in men, can be attributed to learned behavior and not hormones. There is no definitive causal relationship because these studies are performed on adults within a specified culture. Margaret Mead's groundbreaking research Sex and Temperment casts doubt on the claims made in the video.

That's actually false. Studies into "stereotype threat" show that Asian Women when primed with the stereotype "Asians are good at math" perform above the male average on math tests. The introduction to this video inaccurately suggested that Plato had referred to Atlantis as an 'island'. according to the ancient Greek text, he actually referred to it as a 'continent' - which in itself is very interesting and what's more - was specific about its location: 'Beyond the Pillars of Hercules' - which was the Greek name for the Rocks of Gibraltar. Beyond that we have the Atlantic ocean. Atlantic/Atlantis - is that a clue? or is that a clue?

Well i just thought of this, Have you guys ever thought of because in 350bc they could have changed the name? so we would never have known... because the people who lived then are dead now so we never know they could have changed they name to Canada, Europe, Australia ect. Atlantis did indeed exist, maybe not Plato's rendition precisely but some giant land mass did sink. The Mediterranean Atlantis and Japanese Mu are too similar in my mind for there to not have been something to have happened.

Well, parts of Mexico have ATL in it, like MazATLan; in U.S., places like SeATTLe. Understand that these names are native carry-overs that no amount of cultural and religious genocide could eliminate fully, though they tried!! If you all think there is only one lost continent. ANTARCTICA!!! and Atlantis lies beneath the 1 mile thick ice sheets. The Earth's poles shifted suddenly approx 12,500 years ago. Atlantis was in a more tropical climate but after the shft it was lost under the ice until 2012 when the next shift will occur.
