OMG Very Interesting. I Lost My Baby Girl Tyleasia @ 17 days old from SIDS. 03/06/03-03/23/03 ?RIP? I had the slightest idea of what SIDS was so I did alot of research which was very interesting. Sorry and Hope all is well to the families who lost a baby to SIDS. I Thank God for my strength to this day and in that prayer I ask for a cure or vaccines for this Disease. ?Sheena?

I lost a little baby girl at 7months nothing has destroyed me more than this, and now my life empty. Something has to be done about this. children are our future and our hope they are the ones this world should be concentrating on.

My 19 month old baby passed away suddenly in his sleep...this also affects toddlers. We have to find an answer and raise awareness.

I have absolute sympathy for anyone affected by SIDS. However-- I believe the stress put on the mattress softness, is a bit extreme. James McKenna (pediatrician) has done many studies on infant sleep, and many of them require carbon dioxide to trigger them to breathe, should they stop (as young infants do). In countries in which co-sleeping is the norm, SIDS is far less then in countries where separate sleeping is the norm.

People, get educated. Not everything you hear about is true. Do your own research and most of all, use common sense (if that is still possible in this age of modern confusion)
