Thats not completely true. Artists of the past didn't all write their own stuff. Some of the greatest divas....Diana, Whitney, Barbara, Tina. They didn't write all their own music. There was alot of packaging even then. The punk bands, hair bands.....though creative, it came with a package of the time. Granted Id agree with one thing. "Artists" arent as creative anymore. They actually recorded it in 1994 for the Carpenter Tribute "If I were a carpenter". A good year before Jackson started working on The Frighteners(i'm guessing anyway). They released it as a single in late 94 if im not mistaken.
